If a parent has died, does that parent still get named?
Q. What about when the child is old enough to comprehend the death of one parent. Does that parent still get named?
A. Just because the parent has died, doesn’t mean that the child needs to feel the loss of the parent’s love.
It is most important that the child still believes and grows up with the knowledge of the love of that parent.
Again we come back to the issue: it’s not important whether it is true or not, it’s not important what our personal beliefs are; what’s important is what the child believes.
